Start, Stop or Move Service

For many services, you need to log in to your Web account. However, you may start service for your home and for new construction without having a Web account.

Start electric service for your home

  • The application to start electric service needs to be submitted at least two business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) prior to the date you would like your service started.
  • In Utah, a $10 connection fee is required and will be reflected on your first statement.
  • Regulatory requirements may prohibit starting service under specific circumstances.
  • If your electric meters are inaccessible, whether they are on or off, we will need access to them to start service in your name.
  • Service will remain in your name until you notify us to stop service.
  • If a deposit is required, we will contact you.
  • We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to keep your information safe.

To stop or move service, please log in or register a new Web account. Once you set up your Web account, you can access these and other secure account features.
